BNI Malaysia National Conference 2019

I have a privilege to attend BNI Malaysia National Conference 2019 at Pavilion Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on 20th and 21st September 2019. The sessions that I had involved are the Member's Day and Director and Ambassador Meeting. I had attended the conference in the capacity of my chapter President and being the Director Ambassador in Melaka. Some of the key speakers like Yas Vasant, Marcus Hwang, Stanley Kong and Stella Yung, Susan Choo, Smart Xue and Asato Ohno, had shared their valuable opinion and experience to the members and directors. I would like to share some of my learning from this program.

In BNI, we simplify things instead of complicating it. Repeat doing what you are good at and be an expert of what you are doing. The important thing of networking for business is through building relationship with others. The direct way of building relationship in BNI is to make your members more MONEY! Is just that simple! I love the quote that Yash mentioned, "When training is to an athlete, Networking is to business person". Building relationship is the one of the business referral and networking marketing tips.

Besides that, I also learnt that to make things work and move people in the chapter or even in any community, 3C will make it happen. 3C stands for Clarity, Consistency and Communication. Clarity is to make sure that the people we led, they are understand of what is BNI all about and knowing what to do. To be consistent to follow the structured programme of BNI and doing the "power of One" every time. Consistency is just like brushing your teeth, you will not see the effect of brushing your teeth for one day or even a week, but you can definitely feel the benefit of brushing your teeth after years. Lastly, communication is definitely the crucial for connecting you together with your team where T.E.A.M. represents "Together Everyone Achieves More".

This conference may not be the best one but it definitely is a great one. To practise the BNI's philosophy - Givers Gain in any community or even in our BNI chapter, being in a team, givers gain will only resembles clearly when we are taking action, extra mile, aiming for excellence, and make a difference to the people around us.
