Leadership does not happen by accident.

It must be developed, sharpened, and consistently practised.

All chapters of BNI Melaka Region have generated close to RM200 million in business revenue into the economy together with 420 referral partners from 9 different chapters in past 12 months! Results like this do not come from luck. They come from people. More specifically, they come from leaders who are aligned, committed, and willing to grow.

That is why Leadership Team Training is so important.

Training Creates Alignment

Every new incoming term brings fresh energy, new responsibilities, and new opportunities. But without alignment, even good people can pull in different directions.

Leadership Team Training gives incoming leaders the chance to get on the same page. It helps everyone understand the direction, the purpose, the expectations, and the standards required to lead well.

When leaders are aligned, chapters function better.

When chapters function better, members grow better.

And when members grow better, businesses grow better.

Leaders Must Have a Growth Mindset

A leader must have a growth mindset.

To me, growth mindset is simple:

"Growth mindset = learner’s mindset."

The moment a leader thinks, “I already know this,” growth slows down. Strong leaders stay teachable. They remain open. They keep learning, adjusting, and improving.

Leadership is not about having a title.

Leadership is about developing the capacity to influence others positively and effectively.

Leadership Is a Skillset

Training matters because leadership is a skillset.

It is not enough to know what good leadership looks like.

It is not enough to say we are willing.

Knowing is not enough, we must apply.

Willing is not enough, we must do.

That is where many people get stuck. They attend training, hear good ideas, feel inspired for a while, but stop at understanding. Real leadership begins when learning turns into action.

Leadership Is Constant Application

Leadership is not a one-time event. It is not something we master once and keep forever without effort.

Leadership is constant application.

It is how we communicate.

How we respond under pressure.

How we handle responsibility.

How we influence people when things are easy, and especially when things are not.

At the heart of it, leadership is the ability to influence.

And influence is built through consistency, credibility, example, and action.

Training Alone Is Not Enough

You cannot learn to ride a bicycle merely by attending training.

You need to practise it.

Training gives us the principles.

Practice builds the muscle.

That is why attending training repeatedly is valuable. At different stages of our journey, we hear different things, notice different lessons, and apply them with greater maturity. What seemed basic before may become deeply meaningful later because our role, responsibility, and perspective have changed.

Why We Keep Coming Back to Training

Always attending training is not a sign that we do not know enough.

It is a sign that we are serious enough to keep improving.

We revisit fundamentals because strong foundations matter.

We keep learning because every new season requires a better version of ourselves.

Leadership is not static. Leadership is lived.

Leadership is practised. LEADERSHIP IS INFLUENCE IN ACTION.

And that is why Leadership Team Training will always matter.
